Community Chub Meets
The December meeting of the
Stanley Community Club . was
held in the schoolhouse ' on the
evening of December 2. The
president, Mrs. Broadfoot, open-
ed the meeting by having all re-
peat the Lord's Prayer. The
secretary's and treasurer's reports
were given.
There were 19 members pres-
ent who answered the roll call
with a Christmas recipe and sug-
gestion. Another letter from the
WVS in England, thanking the
club for another food parcel was
read. During the business dis-
cussien it was decided to send
another $10 to the CEEB fund.
Further plans were made for the
annual Christmas party on De-
cember 27. An invitation was
read inviting the members of the
Club to call on Mr. and ears.
Fenwick Stewart at their home
on Tuesday, December 7, in hon-
our of their golden wedding an-
niversary. The January meeting
is to be held at the home of
Mrs. Walter Moffatt. The roll
call is to be answered by naming
the talent of the one sitting next
to you. The north group served
a substantial lunch and a social
hour was enjoyed by all.
