GIRLS' SPORTS—
Palmerston Loses
Another struggle with Panner-
' ston took place in the co - gym
on Friday evening, December 3.
The girls game, ending. in favour
of Clinton, was an exciting one
for the home group '..:The high
scorer was Jeanne Garon with
six points. Mary Kyle was sea;
and with four points :and Bat~b-
aro Heesom . with two, making,
the total of 12 points. It was a
close game and kept one in sub-
pense until the last whistle blew.
There were 'a few bench warm-
ers, . but Miss Reynolds has made
a resolution, New Year's or not,
never to have it happen again
because sheds confident that the"
rest could have done just as well.

skating in Stratford on Saturday
night last. Transportation was
provided by Blyth School bus,
leaving Clinton Collegiate at
7.30 and arriving in Stratford
just as 'the skating was Started.
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. McLey
chaperoned the crowd and were
considered swell sports at putting
up with the noise (the gang were
trying to sing!) The bus driver,
Irwin .Rowse, also came in for
his share of appreciation from
the happy crowd. The ice was
jammed and most everyone fell
at least once but all report a
wonderful time and hope that
the arrangement can soon be re-
peated.
On account of the CCI Com-

He paid tribute to the
