Miss Powell was born in Clin-
ton on January 4, 1876, a dau-
ghter of the late John Powell
and Frances Weller, and had
lived her entire lifetimein town.
She was a member of Wesley -
Willis United Church, Miss Powell
was a seamstress by trade and
had been associated with Davis
and Herman for over 30 years,
Miss Powell had been in her
usual health until about six
weeks ago and since then had
not been at all well. She was
a patient for a week in Clinton
Public Hospital where her death,
resulting from a stroke, occurred
on Tuesday, November 2,
Surviving is an only sister, Mrs,
