Hears Health Nurse
The regular meeting of Clinton
Junior Institute was held in Clin-
ton Collegiate Institute, opening'
With the Institute Ode followed
by the Lord's Prayer, The roll
callwas answered by 16 mem-
bers and there were also five vis-
itors present, Minutes of the
previous meeting were read and
the business discussed.
The theme of the meeting was
Health. The guest speaker was
Miss .Maribelle Mackenzie County
Health Nurse, who spoke on the
duties which a public health nurse
is called upon to perform. Doro-
thy McGuire gave a very hum-
ourous poem on "Health.' The
meeting adjourned for the joint
meeting with the boys.

Tall standards of autumn flow-
ers formed a charming setting on
Saturday afternoon, September
18, 1948, at Burns United Church,
Hullett, when Rev. S. H. Brenton
officiated in a. double ring cere-
mony; uniting in marriage Hazel
Bernice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs,
Robert L. Jamieson, Londesboro,
to Harold Jack Donald, Trail, B.C,
son oi' Mr. and Mrs. James Donald,
Port Alberni, B.C.
Mrs, S. H, Brenton played the
wedding musie -and accompanied
Douglas Gill, Grand Bend, who
sang "I'll walk beside you" and
"Through the years."
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride wore e floor -length
gown of white slipper satin with
fitted bodice, escalloped bertha
collar, long lily point sleeves, and
full skirt inset with frilled lace
panels. Her finger-tip veil was
caught in a halo of lace, and she
carried a shower bouquet of peer-
less red roses and bouvardia.
Attending their sister, the matron
of honor, Mrs. Art Colson, BIyth,
and the bridesmaid, Lois Jamie-
son, Stratford, wore identical
gowns of florescent blue satin,
with matching mittens and head-
dress. They carried cascade bou-
quets of •talisman roses.
J. Harry Donald, Montreal, was
his brother's best man,. and the
ushers were Art Colson, Blyth,
and Clifford Jamieson, Waterloo.
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception woe held at the home 9
the bride's parents. Mrs. Jamiesdn
wore a black two-piece ensemble
with a corsage of pink Briarcliff
roses, and Mrs. T, Harry Donald,
sister-in-law of the groom, wore
royal blue crepe with red rose
corsage.
Later, the young couple left for
a trip to the Eastern. States, the
bride travelling in a gabardine
suit of coach gray, with green
accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Donald
will reside in Trail, B.C.
Guests were persent from Lon-
don, Welland, Toronto, Kitchener,
Stratford, Clinton, Seaforth and
Auburn.

Honors Bride -elect
The Evening Auxiliary of Wes-
ley -Willis United Church met at
the home of Miss Maisie Grealis
on Tuesday, September 21, with
23 members in attendance. The
president, Mrs. George Beattie,
was in the chair, assisted by Mrs,
Charles Nelson, Mrs. J. Chowen
and Miss Grace Addison, who
read the Scripture lesson, The
treasurer's report showed that
$88,38 had been made up to the
present time.
Miss Viola Fraser sang a lovely
solo, "Were' you there when they
Crucfiied my Lord." At this time
Mrs. Nelson presented Miss Helen
Nediger with a gift from the
group in honour of her approach-
ing marriage:

of the study period introducing
the new book entitled "West of
the Gorges" which was written
by Rev. Kenneth Belton, MISS
Margaret Davies told of the five
decades of peril in China. Mrs.
Jervis, assisted by Miss Ruth Pot-
ter, Mrs. James McLaren, and
Mrs. Benson Sutter read the first
tempter of the study book. Others
