Summer Weddings

SCHROEDER—GREALIS
A quiet but pretty wedding was'
held at the home of the bride's
father on, Wednesday, Septem-
ber 1, when Audrey Marie Greal-
is, youngest daughter of Edward
Grealis, Clinton and the late Mrs.
Grealis, 'was united in marriage
to Hubert Weseloh Schroeder,
eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Will-
iam J. H: Schroeder, Dashwood.
Rev. Archibald Forsyth, Clinton,
officiated.
The bride. given in marriage by
her father, was lovely in a street
length gewn of navy taffetta trim-
med with lace and wore a corsage
of red roses. Her only ornament
was a gold necklace the gift of
the groom.
Miss Grace Steep was brides-
maid wearing a street length
gown of Raspberry wine .'iCrepe
with a corsage of talisman roses.
Harpld Schroeder,' brother of
the groom, was best' man.
A reception was held at Clinton
Grill. Mrs: Gordon Craig, sister
of the bride, rceeived the guests
dressed in grey crdpe with black
accessories. Mrs. Schroeder,
mother of the groom, assisted,
wearing black crepe with black
accessories.
Later the young couple left on
a motor trip for points north,
The bride donned a w4ne wool
dress with black accessories.
On their return they will re-
side in Zurich.
Guests were present from Zur-
ich, Dashwood, .London,

Parsonage was the, scene of the
wedding on. Saturday, September
4, at one o'clock, of Margaret
Eileen, younger daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Millar, Londes-
boro, to Thomas Franklin, eldest
son of Mr, and Mrs. Clarence
Potter, Goderich Township. Rev.
S. H. Brenton officiated at the
double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a street -length
dress of Queen Elizabeth blue
crepe with a `corsage of red roses.
Theywere attended by .Miss
Betty Potter, sister of the groom,
who wore a dress of grey moire
taffeta with a corsage of roses,
and Hugh Millar, brother of the
bride.
After the ceremony a dainty
lunch was served to a number of
guests on the lawn at the home
of the bride's patents, after
which the young couple left for
a trip north and to Toronto. For
travelling, the bride donned a
suit of cherry gabardine with
black accessories.
On their return, Mr. and Mrs.
Potter will make their home on
the groom's farm in Goderich
Township.
Prior to her marriage the bride
was given a miscellaneous show-
er by Mrs. L. W. Levis, Clinton,
at which she' received some" very
lovely gifts.
Presbyterian WA
Plans Greek Bale
The WA of Clinton Presbyter-
ian Church met in the Sunday
School room on Tuesday, Sep-
tember 7, with a good attendance.
Mrs. Lane was in the chair in
the absence of Mrs. Twitchell,
the president, and Mrs. Snider
was at the piano.
I A hymn was sung after which.
Mrs. Lane read the 9th chapter
of Ecclesiastes and gave an in-
spiring talk on "work strengthen-
eth us" followed by prayer.
Mrs Maxwell gave the secre-
tary's and treasurer's reports. The
tea hostesses for October will be
Mrs. McTeggart, Mrs. Shaddock
and Mrs, Maxwell. Three ladies
present gave birthday money. A
discussion followed re a bale
which is being sent to a girl in
Greece.
A hymn followed by the re-
peating of the Lord's Prayer in
unison closed the meeting after
which Mrs. Roberton and Mrs.
Robert McEwen . served refresh-
ments.

Cuninghame at Bayfield over the
holiday weekend.

The engagement is announced
of Evelyn Marie, youngest dau-
ghter of Mrs. William Bezzo,
Clinton, and the late William
Bezzo, to Robert Cook, youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cook,
West Lorne, the marriage to take
place the middle of September.
