The Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario,
which now embraces all Ontario, will hold a meeting
at the
iw PARK HOUSE, GODERICH,
TUESDAY, JUNE 29,
for the purpose of permitting all those who wish to
join the organization the privilege of doing so. This
is a very important meeting as this year the E.C.A.
will present to the Provincial Legislature a bill to' license
all electricians.
The meeting on June 29 will be addressed by members
1 of the E.C.A. executive who will explain in detail the
policies and aims of the organization.

Prayer" before the ceremony and
"Still as the Night" during the
signing of the register.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride chosen a gown of
white slipper satin with sweet-
heart neckline and train. Her
full length veil fell in double
folds to elbow length and extend-
ed to a slight train. Her sweet-
heart headdress was adorned with
lily -of -the -valley and braided
satin. She carried a cascade bou-
quet of American Beauty roses
and, her only ornament was a
double strand of 'pearls, the gift
of the groom.
Mrs. Lawrence Haughton was
her sister's matron of honor,
wearing a gown of pink net over
taffeta, with blue ,mittens and
matching'- headdress of 'pink net
caught by blue flowers. She car-
ried a bouquet of Johanna Hill
roses:
Miss Helen Bond as her sister's
bridesmaid, wore a gown of yel-
low taffeta with matching mittens
and headdress of yellow net
caught .by yellow flowers. She
carried a bouquet of Talisman
roses.
Miss Patricia Turnbull, Byron,
as junior bridesmaid wore a gown
of aqua taffeta made with loop
bustle and mittens to match. Her
headdress was aqua net caught
by white flowers. She carried a
nosegay of yellow roses.
Wigliam Norman, brother-in-
law of the groom, was best, man.'
and theushers were Lloyd Bond,
brother of the bride, and Maurice
McIlwain, cousin of the groom.
The reception was held at the
British Hotel, Goderich. Receiv-
ing with the bridal party, the
bride's mother wore pearl grey
mile
with na,accessories rr

a sorage of Johanna Hill roses.
The groom's mother assisted and
wore a mauve crepe frock with
Wrack accessories and also wore a
corsage of Johanna, Hill roses.
Leaving on a motor trip to
Northern Ontario, the bride don-
ned a black gabardine suit with
white accessories and a corsage
of roses, On their return NIr. and
Mra, Trewartha will reside in
Goderich Township,'
Guests from a distance were
present from Toronto, London
and Hyron.
Prior to her marriage, the
popular bride was honoured at a
tea by the girlsof the Agency
Department of the London Life
Insurance Company and on her
departure was presented with a
beautiful atrilight lamp by her
business associates. Mrs. Robert
Turnbull assisted by Miss Eva
Pincombe, Byron, was hostess at
a miscellaneous shower and Miss
Bette Leake, London, entertained
at a kitchen shower.

A pretty wedding was solemniz-
ed at the home of Mr, and Mrs.
W. J. Carter, concession four, East
Wawanosh, at 12 noon, Saturday,
June 5, when their only daughter,
Mildred 'Viola, was united in mar-
riage to Stewart Henry Arent,
13th concession of Hullett Town-
ship, elder son of Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar Arent, Auburn, Rev. A.
G, Hewitt, Auburn, officiated.
The wedding music' was played
by Miss Winnifred Campbell, or-
ganist of Westfield United Church.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, took her place be-
neath an arch of evergreens and
early summer flowers. She wore
a street length frock of heaven
blue silk jersey, and corsage of

Following the -wedding a re-
ception was . held, The bride's
mother received, wearing a dress
of black crepe with silver trim
and corsage of white earnatiohs
tied with silver ribbons: She
was assisted by the bridegroom's
mother who had chosen a green
crepe dress with sequin trims and
corsage of pink carnations, A wed-
ding dinner was served to 26
guests by Miss Bernice Wilson and
Miss Marjorie Knox, cousins of
the bride and Miss Jeanette Snell
and Miss Doris Pierce. The table
was centred with --the wedding
cake, flanked' with pink tapers
and pink carnations. Later the
bridal couple left for a wedding
trip to Detroit. •
For travelling the bride don-
ned 'a navy blue suit with. white
accessories. On their return they
will reside on the bridegroom's
farm on. the 13th concession of
Hullett Township. .The bride-
groom's Gift to' the bridesmaid
was a gold compact; to the pian-
ist. a gold brooch and to the best
man, a bill fold.
Prior to the wedding the bride's
mother entertained at a trous-
seau tea in honor of her daughter.
Tea was poured by Mrs. Arent
and Mrs. Alice Wilson, Clinton,,
grandmother of the bride. The
trousseau was displayed by Mrs.
R. J. Phillips and the gifts were
shown by Miss Frances Holly-
man and the linens by. Miss Irene
Ament. Mrs, Carter and her
daughter received the guests.
Those assisting in serving were,
Misses Marjorie Knox, Jeanette
Smith, Doris Pierce and Betty
Craig.

In a lovely June bridal at Wel-
lington St. United Church Manse,
London, on Saturday, June 12, at
high noon, Rev. J. Winfield Hunt
united in marriage Edna Dorcas,
daughter of Mrs. Annie Saunder-
cock and the late Nathaniel
Saundercock, Hensall, ans Alfred
Percival Pearson, Toronto, son of
Alfred Percival Pearson and the
late Mrs. Pearson, Toronto.
The charming bride wore a
traditional white satin gown
fashioned on princess lines and
styled with a high neckline and
long sleeves tapering to points.
The hoop skirt was caught up at
each side with bows of satin. A
Princess' Elizabeth headdress held.
her finger tip veil of embroidered
illusion, and her bridal bouquet
was American Beauty roses and
lily -of -the -valley.
Attending her sister as matron
of honor, Mrs. Wilfred Freeman,
Clinton, wore powder bluesilk
jersey fashioned with ' a high
neckline, long puffed sleeves,
shoulder length veil with match-
ing feather headdress and carried
red roses. William Pearson, To-
ronto, was his brother's grooms-
man.
At a reception held at ° the
Knotty Pine Inn, London, Mrs.
Saundercock received wearing an
orchid dress with navy accessor-
ies and corsage of pink roses. The
bridal table centered a three-tier
wedding cake topped with a min-
iature bride and groom, pink
tapers in silver holders and vases
of red rose bods completing the
decorations.
