match to Blyth last evening by 9-
6 in the WOAA Senior "A" fast -
hail series before a good 'crowd.
It was Clinton's home game but
was taken to Blyth because Lions
Midgets were playing baseball
here with Kincardine. The return
game scheduled' for Blyth will be
played in Clinton.

day night to see Londesboro B -A's
defeat Belgrave 20-14 in a sched-
uled gams of the WOAA Inter-
mediate "C" softball grouping.
Carter was the winning pitcher,
McGee started for the visitors but
was releived in the sixth by John-
ston.

Robertson in the first of the sev-
enth, scoring Forsburg and Don
Robertson ahead of him, enabled
Clinton RCAF to emerge with a
5-5 tie at Exeter Wednesday even-
ing in a Huron -Perth Baseball
League fixture. The game was
called at the end of the seventh
because of darkness.
The game does not figure in the
standing but must be replayed
later on if it affects the final rat-
ing of the teams.
Exeter's big inning was the last
of the fifth when four runs were
tallied off five hits. Holtzman was
their big hatter with a triple, dou-
ble and single.

Toronto, Ont.
Tenders should be made on the
forms supplied by the Department
and in accordance with depart-
mental specifications and con-
ditions attached thereto. Coal
dealers' licence numbers must be
given When tendering.
The Department reserves the
right to demand from any success-
ful tenderer, before awarding the
order, a security deposit in the
form of a certified cheque on a
chartered bank in Canada, made
payable to the order of the Hon-
ourable the Minister of Public
Works, equal to 10 per cent of
the amount of the tender, or
Bearer Bonds of the Dominion of
Canada or of the Canadian Na-
tional Railway Company and its
constituent companies' uncon-
ditionally guaranteed as to prin-
cipal and interest by the Domin-
ion of Canada, or the aforemen-
tioned bonds and a certified
cheque, if required to make up
an odd amount.
Such security will serve as a
guarantee for the proper fulfil-
ment of the contract.

in Clinton Collegiate Friday ev-

continued for the summer months
due to many other activities in
