HOSPITAL GRANTS
When additions and improvements were at first contemplated
for the Hospitals at Goderich, Clinton and Seaforth, nn
Provincial help was expected, but the Drew Government
saw the need of helping Hospital Boards all over the Prov-
ince
rov4ince both in building and maintenance.
For building purposes alone the following appropriations
were made, and payments made as the work of building
progressed, which is the custom in all eases:
GODERICH approximated $24,000.00;
plaid to date $18,000.00
CLINTON approximated $25,666.00;
paid to date $19,250.00
SEA FORTH approximated $25,000.00;
paid to date $25,000.00
Maintenance Grants will also be increasedto the extent
of 235% over the 1947 grants or over 55,000,000.00 will
be expended for this purpose.
