Two causes contributed to Clin-
ton Midgets playing their "home"
game of the series—at a financial
loss—in Goderich Arena Monday
evening. One was the fact that
"Torry" Gregg, WOAA president,
ordered that the game must be
played Monday night, and the
other was that Clinton Arena
previously had been rented for

the evening by Clinton Junior
Farmers for skating party.
However, Doug Bartliff's lads
came through in grand style with
a third.period 8-6 win. The score
was tied 3-3 at the end of the
!f`test and 6-6 at ,the end of the.
second.' Clinton fine -up was the
same .as Tuesday' evening, while
Goderich. -were: • minus their Iwo
Juvenile defence stars -'-Doak and
Holland.

Goderich Lions' Juveniles are
"on the ,'spot" in their best -of -
three Series in the WOAA semi-
finals, having lost at Listowel last
night by 5-0. The Goderich kids
previously had eliminated Wing -
ham by winning a third arid de=
eliding match at Lucknow Monday
evening by 6-2, after each team
had won its home game .by the
same count, 7-3.

OBITUARY
MRS. JOHN KNOX
Mrs. John T. Knox, Wingham
resident, died suddenly in her
54th year. She was the former
Elizabeth Florence Wheatley, and
was a native of Hullett Township.
Ir. religion she was Presbyter-
ian and was a member of the
W.M.S. and the Women's Insti-
tute, She had been a resident of
Wingham ten years. Besides her
husband, a daughter, Mrs. Stew-
art Jeffrey of Stratford, survives.
WILLIAM DABUS
Funeral was held Monday,
March 8, for William Dabus, for-
mer resident of Hensall, who died
at the County Home, Clinton, in
his 65th year. Mr. Dabus suf-
