Clinton Colts opera the OHA
Intermediate "B" season at New
Hamburg- on Saturday, Decem-
ber 29, with' their first- home
match in• Clinton' Lions Arena,.
also with New Hamburg, on Sat-
urday, January 12.'
Colts have been practising hard
far the past month in Seeforth
Arena, but moved home at the
weekend. They held their first
practice on Clinton ice Monday
evening and their headquarters
will remain there until the end
of the season while, there is ice.
Manager Bert Glidden reports
two or three new faces in the
line-up for the delectation of the
fans.
It is expected that G. Ross
"Punch" McBwan again will
handle the team.

Lonclesboro ladies and men's
bowling leagues finished up their
five pin schedule on the lodail
alleys Dee, ilt;h and 12th. In
the ladies division, the winning
team was the Bluebirds captain-
ed by Doreen -Armstrong with
the folloivi:ng members: Mable
Scott, Madeline. Radford, Helen
Lee and Jean Caldwell.
Mary Shobbroak took both the
league single and triple with
310 and 652 respectively.
In the men's sector Mac's Beat
captained by Gordon Mecgregar.
were the winners. Team mem-
bers Were Tom Miller, Wait Reid,
Glen Carter; Tom - Allen, , Ken
Asimetrong and *George Carter.
Bath the league single and triple
were held by Jack Armstrong
with 351 and 798.

Junior Farmers
Clinton Junior Farmers have
entered their hockey team in the
W.O.A.A: intermediate "C" leag-
ue. They have been grouped
with Londesboro, Brussels, Luck -
now and Teeswater, all inter-
mediate "B" and Trowbridge in-
termediate "C".
Managers' Fred Gibson and
Bob .Allan report they have
about 20 players .practising in
Goderich.
In an exhibition game last
Thursday. Londesboro's B team
showed greater endurance in the
third period as they beat Clinton
9-5. Clinton Farmers led in the
scoring throughout the first per-
iod; but slackened off in, the
second to end the period at
four goals apiece,
In the third period lLondes-
boro's experience proved ben-
eficial es they outscored the
newly formed C team five to one,
with the final score being 9-5 for
Londesboro,
