Colts Practising
On Seaforth Ice
Manager Bert Gliddon's Clin-
ton Colts are fast rounding into
shape in preparation for the com-
ing OHA hockey season. The lads
are practising regularly on the
artificial surface of Seaforth
Arena, and plan to play their
home matches there until ice is
available in Clinton Lions Arena.
It may be that two or three
Seaforth lads will be seen in
Colt livery before the season gets
very far under way, but tim ewill
tell. In any case, Malt Edgar will
be back with the team just as
soon as the school term is over
at Milton.
St.. Paul's Ladies' Guild
,Members See Films
Despite a rainy day, there was
a good attendance at the Decem-
ber meeting of St. Paul's Ladies'
Guild, held at the home of Mrs.
Clifford Epps, Tuesday, :Dec. 4.
A very full business program
was, interrupted midway, upon
arrival of the afternoon's guest,
Rev, M. G. Newton, Holmesville,
who delighted the members with
his interesting and beautiful
films, and especially with his
warm Irish wit.
The first films were "Are you
Safe at Home" and one showing
the Birth of Christ, and His life
until He was 12 years old. The
remaining films (in colour) were
scenes along the Maitland River,
and at Goderich, BenmiIler, Lon-
desboro, and Holmesville.
Mrs. McKinnon tendered a
hearty vote of 'thanks to Mr.
Newton for these beautiful and
educational pictures.
The business meeting was then
resumed and the names of the
Lions Group Conveners, a. n d
slate of officers for 1952 were
presented. Mrs. Bulteel extend-
ed an invitation to the Guild
to hold the January meeting at
the Rectory. , The president clos-
ed the meeting with prayer, and
Mrs. Epps sreved .tee,
