St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Manse, Clinton, was the scene of
a wedding, Saturday, December
1, when Mildred. May, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel West-
lake, Goderich Township, became
the bride of Lewis J., son of
John A. and Mrs. Dempsey, God-
erich Township. Rev. D. J. Lane
performed the ceremony.
They were unattended, and af-
ter the marriage service, left on
a honeymoon trip to Detroit and
other points in Michigan. The
bride is a telephone operator at
RCAF Station, and the groom
farms in Goderich Township.
Hospital Auxiliary
Gives Refrigerator
The regular meeting of the
Hospital Auxiliary was held in
the Agricultural Board Room
Monday afternoon with the presi-
dent, Mrs.'"D, J. Lane presiding.
The minutes were 'read by Mrs.
C. M. Shearing and the treasurer,
Mrs. Sam Castle reported a bal-
ance of $1,209.68.
Mrs. C. H. Epps reported that
ell early arrangements had been
made for the Christmas Bald.
Plans were made for: Christmas
gifts to the patients' at the hospi-
tal. Mrs. R. M, P. Bulteel, for
the social committee, said plans
for the lunch for the dance were
made.
Money was voted to buy an
electric refrigerator for babies'
bottles, a two -burner electric
plate, drapes and a baby's cot.
BEZZO-PULLEN
An arch prettily decorated with
pink and white foses, against a
background of pine, and baskets
of roses formed the setting in
the home of Mrs. Lucy Bezzo,
Clinton, on Saturday, December
1, when Rev. H. Kendrick, Exeter,
assisted 'by Pastor K. L. Sweigard,
Clinton, united in marriage Mary
Ruth Pullen, Brucefield a rid
Wilfred David Bezzo, Clinton. The
bride is the daughter of John
Albert Pullen, Brucefield, and
the groom is the son of Mrs,
Lucy Bezzo, Clinton, and the late
William Bezzo.
William Bezzo, Stratford, gave
the bride away. She was gowned
in a street length red dress, with
grey accessories, and carried a
corsage of yellow roses. The
bridesmaid, Mrs. William Bezzo,
Stratford, sister -in -la* of the
groom, wore a wine, street -length
dress with a corsage of pink
roses.
The bride's grandmother, Mrs.
Ruth Woolley, Brucefield, receiv-
ed the guests in a blue dress,
with a corsage of pink roses. The
wedding dinner was served in the
bridegroom's home by Mr. and
Mr•s. William McMaster, Clinton.
Guests at the wedding were
from St. Thomas, Port Stanley,
Sparta, Exeter, Stratford, Bruce -
field, and Clinton. After a wed-
ding trip to St. Thomas and other'
points, the young couple will live
in Clinton.
