Ladies' Rifle Club
Entertain RCAF Wives
(By •Beryl Heath)
Guests of Clinton Ladles' Rifle
Club on a recent evening was
a group of women from RCAF
Station, Clinton, who represent-
ed the Airmen's Wives' division
of the Women's Auxiliary there.
The Rifle Club members had
proudly posted a bulletin board
in • the games room explaining
various features of the club's
activities, and ' several targets
from both beginners and experts
were displayed. Literature on
rifle shooting was distributed a-
mong the guests as well.
Each shooter took a visitor un-
der her wing and explained the
elementaries of the sport to her,
after which each Auxiliary girl
shot a target under the watchful
eye of her own individual coach.
The ladies from the Station ap-
peared to enjoy lining up the'
builseyes and every one asked
for a scond turn, which showed
marked improvement in many
cases.
After the shooting, a lunch of
coffee end cookies was served
by Isobel Epps and the club
members. By this time both host-
esses and guests were enthus-
iastically discussing target work
and even huntnig. As the most
enjoyable evening came to a close
and the visitors left, they expres-
sed their thanks to the club for
the entertainment, while the
members wholeheartedly extend-
ed an invitation to . any of the
ladies from this fine friendly
group to come back again.

A Trite Answer
Five-year-old Christine liked
to help her neighbor in the gar-
den. The neighbor allowed her
to help with several little jobs
one day but finally ran out of
things that she was able to db.
After asking several times
what she could do now, .Christine
said, 's'X know how I can help
you."
"How's that?" asked the neigh-
bor.
'Go away and let yo`u alone,'
answered Christine.
