hunting trip to Sault Ste. Marie
district, with a total bag of four

Miss Verna Graves suffered a
heart attack early Sunday morn-
ing and was taken by ambulance
to her home in Seaforth on Sun-
day evening. She was accomp-
anied by her sister, Mrsi R. Carn-
ochan, with whom she had been
staying in D. A, Atkinson's house.
Her many friends wish her a
complete recovery.

About 70 neighbors and friends
of this community met on Wed-
nesday evening, November 21, in
the school house to do honor to
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mcllwain (for-
merly Madelon Cox). An address
was read by Mrs. Bill Stirling
and Alvin Betties on behalf of
community presented them with
a beautiful floor lamp. The even-
ing was spent in progressive

Mrs. J. Harrison, who has been
quite ill, following a fall, is now
improving. Mrs. P. Elliott, God-
erich, is visiting with Mrs. Her-
rison, this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wallis, ac-
companied by Charles Wallis and
Walter Wellis motored on Wed-
nesday last to Hamilton to attend
the funeral services of the late
Charles Richards.
Sympathy Extended
The sympathy of the commun-
ity is extended to Mr. and Mrs.
Guy Ives on the death last week
of their daughter Helen, and to
Mrs. Bert Lobb, whose mother
Mrs. Lyons, Londesboro, passed
away last week.

Bride and Groom Feted is
A large number attended the'
dance on Friday night in Bayfield
Town Hail, to the music of Ir -
win's Orchestra, in honour of Mr.
and Mrs. Bill McIlwain, newly-
weds. There was a miscellaneous
shower consisting of many beauti-
ful and useful articles and an
address read by Miss Mildred
Westlake from neighbors and
friends and presentation of a
lovely coffee table. Dancing con-
tinued till the wee small hours.
SS 4 Farm Forum Meets
B.S. No. 4 Farm Forum met
this week at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert E. Thompson.
The radio topic for discussion
was "Opportunities for Cultural
Activities." This was a good topic
for discussion, and a keen inter-
est was shown in the questions
for discussion. Card games were
played for recreation, and lunch
was served. The meeting for next
Monday night is to be held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.
Hebden.

families, enjoyed their annual
supper party on Friday night.

the guests with the showing of
colored pictures of points -of int-
erest in and around the village.

to be sent to Mrs.. Simian. Three
quilts were to be used where
needed.
