Ill in Hospital
The many friends of Mrs. May-
nard Corrie who is ill in Clinton
Public Hospital, wish her a
speedy recovery.
Moved to New Home'
Mr. and Mrs: Maynard Carrie
and David moved on Tuesday of
last week into their new ranch -
type house which was recently
completed on the property which
Mr. Corrie purchased from Lind-
say Smith bordering the Bayfield
Concession Road.

Mission Band to. Meet
The Mission Band of the Unit-
ed Church is holding its Easter
Thenkoffering meeting in the
basement of the chinch on Sun-
day evening, April 1, at eight
o'clock. Miss Clare McGowan,
Blyth, will be the guest speaker.
This will be an interesting meet-
ing. Pictures will be shown on
the Holy Land.
Laid Up With Flu

Stanley Carter, and John Nott.

Seed Plant Busy
The seed cleaning- plant of
Norman Alexander is very busy
these days and is running both
night and day.
Mrs, Robert Townsend is spend-
ing a few days with her daugh-
ter, Miss Dorothy Little, Toron-
to. Miss Jennie Cowan is spend-
ing some time at The home of her felt and Miss Mae Renouf spent

ing was in charge of Harry Lear,
convener of culture, with Mrs.
Vincent acting as Ieader.
The call to worship was read
by Mrs. Vincent, followed by
Singing of hymn 30, after which
Joyce Fangrad Ied in prayer, Ken
Wood then read the Scripture,
following which the offering was
taken up. Hymn 215 was sung
Harry Lear gave the topic, "East-
er gave us the Bible."
Following this Harry Lear sang
a solo. Lois Wood read a story
entitled 'The Hem of His Gar-
ment," after which Gail and June
Manning sang a duet. This part
of the meeting closed by sing-
ing hymn 255,
Following the business session,
a short recreational period was
held consisting of a Bible quiz.
Lunch was then served The
meeting was [then 'ullosecl with
the singing of "Taps."

The E as ter Thankoffering
meeting of the WMS was held in
the basement of the ehwrch on
Thursday, March 22, -with a splen-
did attendance. The Burne Aux-
iliary were guests, with Mrs.
(Rev.) - Scott, Blyth, as guest
speaker. The' president, Mrs. F.
Tamblyn, opened the meeting
with hymn 97, followed by Pray-
er, Miss Doris Grierson favored
with a violin solo, and Mrs.,Grier--
son read several passages of
Scripture on the life and death
of Jesus, and also prayer. A trio,
"He Arose," by Mrs. A. Shaddick,
Mrs. Brenton and Mrs. C Vin-
cent, was enjoyed. Mrs. E. Wood,
a reading, `The Hem of His
Garment." Hymn 98 was sung.
Mrs. (Rev.) Scott gave an inter-
esting talk on ,the work of the
"Three little White Churches in
Nova Sectio," where they had
lived, The trio sang "Jesus hear
our prayer." Meeting closed with
singing hymn 115, all joining by
repeating the benediction. A lov-
ely lunch was served by the
local branch and a social time
was spent together.
Visitors on Sunday and for the
weekend at the home of their
parents, Mr. and M•ns, Joe Young-
blut, were Mr. and Mt s. Russel
Good and Helen, and Henry
Youngblut, -Niagara.

Presbyterian Church, a silver
Christening bowl which was giv-
en .by Mrs. William Armstrong
in memory of her parents and
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Matheson, and Sheldon, was dedi-
cated by the pastor, Rev. D. J.
Lane, and it was used for the
baptism of Allan Archibald, in-
fant son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Armstrong, at this service.
