in four straight games. The game
was played in Milverton Satur-

last by 6-4, before a capacity
crowd.
Play Listowel
The Colts are now matched
with Listowel in a best two -out -
of -three series in the first round
OHA Intermediate "B" playoffs.
Listowel recently were put out
by Wingham in a five -game
series an a WOAA Intermediate,
"A". group. How they can con-
tinue in the OHA is a mystery
to hockey fans 'here. The first
game is in Goderich this Satur-
day evening at nine o'clock, with
Listowel's hone game Tuesday
night.
Saturday night's game was fast,
wide-open hockey. In the sec-
ond period, a to+bal of 11 goals
was scored, mostly on break-
aways; both teams playing all
men on the offensvie.
Neilans started the scoring
spree early in the first period—
with Milverton two men short
and Clinton one. McEwan and
Draper added two more; Milver-
ton scored twice, both on break-
away plays to end the period 3-2
for Colts. In each of the other
three games the score had been
tied at the end of the first period.
Both teams played fast hockey,
with Clinton having a big edge
in the play.
Milverbon tied tit up twice in
the free -scoring second period,
but could not get ahead of the.
fast -stepping Colts. The stanza
ended 9-7 for Colts. In the third,
Clinton took a
commanding lead.
Bob Draper had a big night with
six goals, being assisted on five
of them by his linemetes--Bill
Counter and Barry McEwan.
Counter was playing with a
bruised hand received in Thurs-
day night's game.
Clinton now have won sen
a
straight group p y g
three from New Hamburg and
four from Milverton, The scores
in th e Milverton series were:
10-8 in overtime; 8-3, 6-4 and
13-8.
Last season Milverton won the
goup final an a best -of -five series,
