D.D. DISCLOSURES
What, you haven't heard of the
D.D. Show? Let ' me tell you
folks—this will be soinethin'!
The St. Paul's Choir is putting
on a real DEE-iight$ul affair and
its named the D.D. Show! Two
nights, no less, in the Town Hall,
March, 29th and 30th and you'll
sure get the worth of your 50
cents in en teitalinunent!
Everybody's Askin' what 'the
D.D. stands for—here's the low-
down. ' The Show's full of D.'s.
For instance there's Dancing and
Drilling by 25 little girls of the
Bateman Ballet class. I've had a
sneak preview of their costumes
they're adorable — and they'll
have three changes—quite pro
fessional, don't you think? The
kiddies range in age from 3 to
11 and you cari take my word
far it—they're cute!
Then there's the Dashing Dum-
bells. 1 mustn't give away their
secret, but I'll go so far as to
say they're reg'lar Devils (1851
vintage) a n d they're plenty
Daffy! There'll be solo special-
ties between times, and you ain't
seen nothin' till you've watched
the "Dose Dose and Dem" Min-
iature Minstrels in action! An'
by the way, I've been asked to
(inquire if anyone in Clinton has
a pet flee he'll lend for two
nights. One.;uv dem niggahs rho'
needs a flee—guarantees to take
good care uv him like he .was
his own!
There's a DeLuxe treat too for
the music lavers, The Goderioh
Harboraires (e male chorus of 12
voices) agreed to become D.D: s
for the nights of the 29th and
30th. These lads have banded
together in the pure pleasure of
singing, and have a large and
attractive repertoire. We guar-
antee you'll enjoy 'em, and isn't
"Harboraires" en appropriate
name?
Puposely left the Drama last.
A Double Dip 'one -act comedy
called "Joint .Owners in Spain"
is to be pre-zented by four cele-
brated actress' imported—ahem—
from Broadway! It wouldn't do
to disclose their names at pres-
ent, but maybe you could guess.
There are three "Macs" and a
"Smith". Get your chuckling
practiced up!
My Goodness the space is all
gone and I haven't mentioned
the $5.00 prize for naming the
Show; Anyone can enter who
buys a ticket. I'll give a full
account of the details next week
—another five bucks to the ane
who sells the most tickets. Watch
for ,this column in the next is-
sue, folks—until then—
Your Devoted "D.D." Diouiger,
Dizzie Dezie.
