The annual meeting of Clinton
branch of the British and Foreign
Bible Society was held in St.
Pail's Parish Hall, with Rev, R.
M. P. Buiteel presiding.
Officers appointed for 1951
are: President, W. M. Aiken;
treasurer, W. H. Robinson; secre-
tary, Rev. D. J. Lane; vice-presd-
dents, Rev. W. J. Woolfrey, Rev.
Hugh Wilson and Rev. Mr. Bul-
teel.

Dine were appointed to obtain
a new collector for Clinton for
1951.
A motion was passed expres-1
sing appreciation to A .T. Coop-
er, who has been associated with
the society's work in Clinton far
more then 25 years.
Records in Clinton show that
this town has been contributing
towards this cause for at least
76 years.

CLINTON WI TO MEET
The regular meeting of Clin-
ton Branch of the Women's In-
stitute will be held in the Board
Room of the Agricultural Office
on Thursday afternoon, January
25, at 2.30. The topic will be
"Agriculture and Canadian In-
dustry" and will be taken by
Mrs. C. E. Elliott and Mrs. Mil-
ton Wiltse. The roll call is to
be answered by "an outstanding
tree in my memory." Hostesses
will be Mrs. H. Jenkins, Mrs. H.
Slornan, Mrs. F. Layton, Mrs, F.
Pepper, Mrs. L. Hunter and Mrs,
C. Nelson.

On Social Activities
The regular meeting of
LOBA Lodge, Clinton, was
in the Lodge Hall with the wo

recently held under the auspiices
of the LOBA, and convened. by
Miss Harrison and Mrs. Ernest
Bell, showed the net proeeede as
$106.30.

conveners for a euchre party in
the lodge hall. The membersagreed to hold euchres twice
monthly on Tuesday evenings.

long veil was held in plece with

net, She carried a bouquet of
two -toned pink roses and white
chrysanthemums,
Miss Betty Beattie, Goderich,
the bride's only attendant, was
frocked in a long gown of pink
nylon over pink satin, with a
headdress of pink carnations, and
serried a nosegay of two -toned
pink carnations,
Mervin Sawyer, Detroit, Mich.,
brother of the groom, was the
best man.
Following the ceremony a re-
ception was held at the British
Exchange Hotel, Recedyio•g were
the bride's mother who chose a
wine crepe dress and a corsage
of two -toned red rases, and the
groom's mother, who was frocked
in cocoa brown with a corsage.

with a good attendance.

County Home Visited

Seiforth Branch of the Wom-
enls Institute supplied a very
thoughtful and much appreciated
post-Chrlstthas touch on Thurs-
day mast when they made a visit
to Huron County Home.
The ladies presented a very
dellightful programme including
solos, duetts, ,choruses, eta:, all
of which were much enjoyed by
",the boys and guns" of the Home.
Before departing the ladies gave
each member of the Home family
an individual gift containing
treats, etc.
