Colts Eliminated
By Walkerton Six
Walkerton Iron Firemen tom-
pletely overpowered ' Clinton
Colts 15-7 in ' a WOAA Pre -
Season series hockey match in
Goderieh Memorial Arena Mon-
day evening. The best crowd
to witness a Colt home game this
season was on hand.
The Colts were short-handed
due to injuries to Draper, and
Ifanly, but this would not have
made'much difference against the
power -packed Walkerton crew.
For Colts, McEwan, Edgar and
Be-rtliff matched strides with
Walkerton, McEwan getting four
of the Colts' goals. Young Bill
Nediger in goal for Clinton play-
ed an outstanding game but
could not stop everything as
Walkerton wingmen practically
went through the Colts' defence
at w'11
With Zult and Wieler — last
year's imports — and two more
this season, Walkert6n have a
much stronger , club then were
beaten by Sundridge in the int-
ermediate "B" semi-finals last
season. Kesselring, a former
Kitchener Junior defenceman is
a power of strength on defence,
and made many end-to-end rushes
Monday evening. Doug Runions,
an oldtimer from Hamilton Tig-
ers, is another addition„ and a
very dangerous left winger, esp-
ecially on breakaway plays,
The game was exceptignally
clean, only three penalties being
handed out by Referees Gordon
Muir and Archie Hubert of Sea -
forth, two to Colts and one to
Walkerton.

KEEP IT UP, BOB! 1
(Dunnville Chronicle)
Bob MiIIer (formerly of Clin-
ton Colts), with a standout per-
formance at Stamford on ,Tuesday
night, held the Chippewa Ind-
ians at bay for the first 40 min-
utes until the Dunnville Mud -
cats began to click in the final
frame and rapped in five goals
in the last 12 minutes of play to
break a three -all tie and cop their
first victory of the season 8 to 3.
Miller was terrific in the first
frame when he booted out 17
dead on shots, nine of them be-
ing in sequence, before the Mud -
