So the Strat- ford Underwriters Association is sponsoring a clinic and the dist- rict hospitals, including our own, ai'e cooperating in order to ob- tain blood donors . IF you feel able to help this most humanitarianeffort, con- tact the; Clinton Public Hospital and give your name . . Ar- rangements will be made there DURING the last war many thousands of civilians ppatriotic- ally and enthusiastically support- ed the Red Cross Blood Donors Clinic by the giving of blood at regular intervals Since then, there has been Bale publicity about the needs of Blood Banks But, in spite of that, the need, is there and right here in our own district , , DO you realize that our local hospital is constantly. in need of blood? , , They used six bottles of it last week . . THE executive and members of Ten Town had a happy idea when they made plans to enter- tain their parents and the Lions Club (their sppnsoring organiza- tion) . . The party was held Friday evening last at the Col- legiate auditorium . . . ✓ a . AN interesting program was provided, cards, chess and danc- ing . , Refreshments were serv- ed during the evening . . y IN spite of the splendid idea and the arrangements made, there was one fly in th ointment and a disappointing one to the 'Teen Towners-not many par- ents nor Lions took advantage of the opportunity to see how 'Teen Town is run . . As this is one of the major social activities of the young people of the com- munity, this lack of interest on the part of the parents and others does not seem good . MA.
