ceiving one. ,
let Period
The Radar School started the
scoring just after the one -minute
mark as Scarrow got a pass from
Norris, took his shot and the
puck went in on the open side
of the net about one foot off the
ice. Draper of the Colts• tied it
up about four minutes later.
Strong of the Colts got a pass
from Bain, which he slapped et
and went tight through Alex-
ander's pads. The score was
later tied up by Goodhue on a
pass from Norris, The period end-
ed in a 2-2 *tie.
2nd Period
• Both teams returned to the ice
with the Colts short handed one
man for about 15 seconds. At
about the 31/2 -minute mark,
Maltby of the Colts picked up a
loose puck at centre ice and went
right in on Alexander end drew
him out of his nets and back-
handed it into the upper left-
hand corner of the net. Colts
scored two. snore goals after that
and then Norris of the Radar
School picked the puck up at
centre, went in on the Colts de-
fence, drew them out to the right
of the net and let go with a weak
backhand that beat the Colts
goalie, making the score 5-3.
About 21 minutes later Scarrow
got another goal for the Radar
School and that ended the scor-
ing in the second period, Colts
leading 574.
3rd Period
A minute and a half after the
period started, Norris got the
puck from the corner, went
around the Colts net, came out in
front and took a shot, and it de-
flected off the goalie's stick into
the short side of the net to tie
the score again. The Radar
School went ahead, again at the
eight -minute mark ' as Goodhue
shot one past the Colts goalie
unassisted. Four minutes later
the Colts came back with three
fast goals in less than three, min-
utes apart, But the Radar School
did not weaken as they scored
another goal at the 171/2 -minute
mark. In the last minute to play
the Radar School put on four for
wards and one defenceman in, a
vain attempt to tie the score, but
just couldn't.

RADAR SCHOOL
THROWS FLYER'S
INTO TAIL SPIN
(By LAC Frank Ursich)
Workshops)
The Radar School sent the
Centralia Flyers into 'a tail ,spin
on Wednesday night, November.
15, by a score of ,14-4. The`Radar
School outplayed and outshot the
Flyers by a ..great margin,
• First Period
The scoring opened up early as
Godley put one pest the Fliers'
goalie in the•ir
'
f st 15 seconds of
the game on a setup play from
Scarrow. The Fliers tied it up
in less than three minutes. Wil-
liams of the Fliers wad taken off
the ice with a bandage around
his face after receiving a high
stick on the bridge of the nose,
requiring three' stitches. Scarrow
broke the tie with about 'four
minutes to go on passes from
Goodhue and Godley and that is
the way the period ended -2-1
in favour of the Radar School.
Second Period
The Radar School again open-
ed the scoring in this period on
a goal, by Goodhue on passes
from Cantin and Godley, At the
four -minute mark the excitement
was augmented by the conflict
between the Centralia goalie end
Boyd of the Radar School which
was the forerunners of a free-
for-all, resulting in two players
of each teana receiving the gate
for two minutes, The Radar
School outscored the Flyers by
4-1. At the half -way mark,
Royer returning to the ice from
the penalty box picked upa loose
puck at centre ice and went in
1all alone on the goal g a a re to beat the
Centraia goalie. Shaw of the
Flyers missed a lot of oppor-
tunities.. The score at the end
of the second was 6-2 in favor
of the Radar School,
Third Period
Skinner of the Radar School
missed a grand opportunity by
picking up a loose puck in fornt
of the nets and shot wide from
aboutfour feet out, missing the
goal altogether The Flyers could
not get the' puck out of their -
own zone for the first seven min-
utes of the: period. The scoring:
was free and easy in this period
as the final score shows. The
Radar School getting eight of the
ten goals scored. The Radar'
School would have had more'
goals in the game if it had not
been for the Flyers goalie. He
was truly great and has lots of
class.
Goodhue was the big gun for
the Radar School.by getting four
goals and two assists and Oly-
neke for the Flyers with two
goals.
