Now we freely acknowledge that our ears. are quite long but we haven't yet developed our psychic sense to such a de- gree that we are able to pick events out of the air for our news column. Charlie Guest, London, spent 'the weekend in the village. Miss Beverly York, London, , was home over Thanksgiving. ' Mr. and' Mrs. Charles R. Will were In the village on Saturday, Miss $, Colbeck spent the weekend and holiday in Granton. Mrs. H. Sutherland, St. Thom- as, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ted Davies. Rev. and Mrs. P. Renner left on Sunday to spend three days, at Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Coates, Ottawa, are guests at The Little Inn for a week, Flgt. Sgt. Ted Davis, Crum- lin, spent the weekend with his wife and family. Mrs. A. Suppnick, D troit, was at her cottage, "Hollby Lodge," over the weekend. Mrs. James Dewar, Mitchell, is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. David Dewar, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kanter, Detroit, were at their cottage over the weekend, Rev. LaVerise Morgan, Marine City, Mich., called on friends in the. village ,on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. S. Bryant, Lon- don, spent lest week at their cottage on Louisa Street. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson McConkey and John, Kitchener, were in.the village over the weekend. While here they enjoyed several fishing trips to Goderich where they had good catches of perch. Home From Alberta John Campbell, Bronson Line, and. George Keyes, Varna, re- turned home on Saturday after a trip to Alberta. They left here on September 10, in the former's truck and were accompanied by R. Larson and William Heard, Bayfield, and Charles Reid, Verne. William Heard returned by bus the previous week. Attended Wedding Mrs. D. MacKenzie, Bayfield, Mr. and Mrs, Donald MacKenzie, Blue Water Highway, Goderich Township, Mr. and Mrs Cohn Campbell, Bronson Line, Stanley Township, attended the wedding of the former's grandson, Donald Keyes, to Miss Margaret. Dean Agar, in Canon Davis Memorial Church, Sarnia, on Saturday. Attend Demonstration The seventh and eighth grade pupils cycled down to Thomas Westlake's demonstration wood - lot on the Blue Water Highway on Tuesday afternoon. Miss H. Calbeek was present as also were pupils and teachers from other schools in Stanley Township to witness Zone Forester W. A. G. Thurston, Stratford, demonstrate the planting of a tree and hear his lecture on tree conservation and reforestation, Trinity Church Guild The regular meeting of the Trinity Church Guild was held at the home of Mrs. E„A. Feath- erston on Thursday `afternoon last. The president, Mrs. Byrd Sturgeon, opened the meeting and presided. It was decided to hold the annual bazaar and sup- per on December 2 and plans were discussed for this event, Following the Benediction the hostess served tea.
