for a lovely' wedding on Satur-
day afternoon, October 7, 1950,
at 2.30 O'clock, when Helen
Lorraine Dixon' becamethe bride
of . Joshua Douglas Finck. The
bride is the only daughter of Mr.
and Mrs,• Frank J. Dixon, Cln-
ton, and her husband, who is
stationed at Rockcliffe, is a son
of Mr. and Mrs.. Edward Finck,
Ironbound, N.S.
Rev. ;W. 3. ;Woplfrey officiated
at the ceremony, Mrs. Edward
Wendorf, the ghurch organist,
played traditional wedding music
and accompanied the soloist,
James V. Corran, who sang
"Until" before the ceremony and
"Where e'er you walk" at the
signing of the register.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, was lovely in a
gown 'of white slipper satin with
bertha neckline, lace -trimmed,
and lily -point sleeves. The skirt
had a lace trimmed peplum and
ended in a slight train. Her
full-length veil was caught into
• a pillbox headdress of satin and
white 'illusion. Her only orna-
ment was a three -strand pearl
necklace, the gift of the groom.
Sire carried a shower bouquet of
white roses.
Mrs. H. L. Bastock, Ottawa,
and Misses Alice Pfaff, Exeter,
end•Helen "Sturdy, Wingham, were
the matron of honour end brides-
maids, respectively. They were
gowned alike in forest green. silk
velvet, styled with bertha neck-
line and lung full skirts. They
wore matching pillbox head-
dresses with bright yellow plumes.
and forest green velvet mittens.
They carried bright yellow 'mums
and bronze porn pours,
H. L. Bostock, Ottawa, was' the
groomsman, and the ushers were
the bride's two brothers, Clayton
'and' Richard Dixon, both of
Clinton.
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was held in the Church
Parlour, the bride's mother re-
ceiving in a navy sheer dress'
with navy accessories and a cor-
sage of red roses.
For travelling to New York,
Boston and Halifax, the bride
donned a navy gabardine suit
with pink and navy accessories.
On their return, the young couple
will reside in Ottawa.

lovely Autumn 'wedding on Sat-
urday, October 7, when Charlotte
Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Middleton, was united
in marriage to Dr. James Edward
Mullens, son of Mrs. relullens and
the late. William Mulleris, Hamil-
ton. Rev. Laverne Morgan, Mar -
me City, Mich., until recently
Rector of the Church, returned
to officiate at the servie0.
Given In marriage by her fath-
er, the bride was lovely in a
floor -length gown of Chantilly
lace over white, satin . which
featured an Elizabethan collar
and a fitted bodice with long
pointed' sleeves. The skirt ex-
tended into a graceful train, and
her fingertip veil of illusion net
was held by a matching Juliet
cap.- She carried a beautiful
bouquet of white chrysanthemums
end fern, and were a rhinestone
necklace, the gift of the groom.
The matron of honour, Mrs.
John Chapman, Montreal, and
bridesmaid, Miss Barbara Middle=
ton, 'Clinton, wore identical gowns
of burnished copper taffeta, their
smell matching caps trimmed
with yellow 'mums, and they
carried bouquets of yellow 'imams
and fern. The charming flower
girl, Jan MacLachlan, Ottawa,
wore jade green taffeta with
matching shirred poke bonnet and
carried a nosegay of bronze
'mums.
Dr,' Paul Walden, London, was
groomsman, and the ushers were
Dr. Donald Fletcher, Hamilton,
and Ted Middleton, Stratford.
The organist was Miss Betty
McKeeman, London, and the
soloist, Miss Beth Cottrell, Fort
Erie, sang "The Lord is my
Shepherd" before the ceremony
and "0 Perfect Love" during the
signing of the register.
The reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents,
Whitehall Farms, Goderich Town-
ship. The bride's mother wore
a burgundy crepe dress with
black accessories and a corsage
of white roses. The groom's
mother chose a dress of midnight
blue lace over crepe with navy
accessories and a corsage of red
rdses. The bride's grandmother,
Mrs. James Johnston, wore grey
crepe with black accessories and
a corsage of lavender chrysan-
themums.
After the reception the young
couple ,left on a honeymoon trip
to Toronto and Muskoka, the
bride travelling in a cocoa brown
velvet suit with gold velvet hat
and gloves, bl.wn shoes and
purse, and a corsage of bronze
'mums. On their return they will
reside in London -where the groom
is taking post •graduate work in
surgery at the Medical School
and the bride is in medical re-
search . at the Dr. Collip Lab.
Both are graduatesof the Uni-
lversity of Western Ontario,,
Out-of-town guests et the wed-
ding were from. Toronto, Hamil-
ton, Ottawa,.Montreal, Fort Erie,

HospitalAid Hears
Encouraging Reports
The October meeting of Clin-
ton Hospital Aid was held in the
Council Chamber, Tuesday even-
ing, October 3, with Mrs. Frank
Fingland in the chair.
Minutes of the last meeting
were read by Mrs. Lorne Brown,
while the treasurer, Miss L.
Walkinshaw, showed a balance
of $460,64, less outstanding bills,
in her report.
Reports of committees were as
follows: Mrs. H. A. McIntyre, for
sewing, stated that the curtains
for the wards had been com-
pleted. Mrs. J. M. Elliott re-
ported that plans, were complete
for a concert.'
The secretary was asked to
make reaervations for the dele-
gates, Mr's D'' J. Lane and Mrs.
L. 'McKinnon,' who will attend
the Hospital 'Aid's Association in
Toronto.
A motion, ,was passed that the
