The topic wilt be "Health," and the Supervisor of the Health Clinic, will give the address. The hostesss are: Mrs. Miller, Mrs. L. Reid, Mrs. Fangrad And Mrs. E. Knox. The 'program will be arranged by Mrs. G. Rad- ford and Mrs. T. Allen. The roll call will be "Nutritious Foods for Children," and a demonstration on sandwiches will be given by Mrs. McCool and Phyllis. Mission Band Meets The Mary Grierson Mission, Band held its September meet- ing in the basement of the church with the president, June Manning, in the chair, and Marg- aret Lyon at the piano. The meet- ing opened with the call to wor- ship and a hymn, followed by the National Anthem and the Lord's Prayer repeated in unison. The roll call was answered with 41 present. The minutes of the last meet- ing were read by, the secretary, Muriel Shobbrook. Birthday pen- nies were given by Kenneth Gaunt, Buster Shaddick and David Alexander. The offering was, taken by Barry Pipe. The temperance secretary was Kenneth Gaunt, the World Peace by Ola Fangrad, and Buster Shad - dick favoured with a solo ac- companied by his mother, The study book was given by Mrs. Joe Shaddick. David Alexander gave the missionary story and short readings were given. The meeting closed with the singing of a hymn and the closing prayer by Mrs. B. Services at Constance are at 11 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. ;GST. On Sunday, October 8 the anniversary of the Londesboro Church' will take place, with Rev. H. J. Mahoney, Exeter, as guest speaker. Londesboro WA Meets The regular meeting of Lon- desboro WA was held in the Sunday School room of the church on Thursday, Sept. 21,' with ,the president, Mrs. B. Shob- brook, in charge. Hymn 194 was sung and was followed by Scrip- ture reading and prayer in uni- son. Hymn 34 was then sung and the minutes of last meeting were read and adopted. Cards of appreciation were read from Kenneth Armstrong and Mrs. Jack Clark. Roll call was an- swered by "Where I spent my holiday." Next month's roll call to be answered by "What I am thankful for." Programme com- mittee for October: Mrs. Bren- ton and MTs. Lansing. A com- mittee was formed to plan for a concert sometime during the fall. Solos by Doreen Armstrong and Joyce Fangrad were much enjoyed, also a reading by Mrs. S. -Garter. The meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. Grierson. Lunch was served by the host- esses.
