But in the WOAA Juvenile "grand" championship series with Dashwood, the . 'Juvenile • - ` B" champions, the local kids came a cropper. Dashwood came from behind to win at home 10-8, but Clinton Icons lost the return game here Saturday afternoon last in e thrilling 12 -inning heartbreaker, 5-4, thus losing the round in two straight. Dashwood now will represent the WOAA in the OBA Juvenile -"B" playdowns. As it was with Clinton Colts a few days before; Dashwood just had too much Yelle, and the let- ter was forced to limit in the final game here. The Clinton kids got five hits off his delivery, and Clare Maltby knocked a homerun in the sixth with no one aboard to tie the count. The Terrible 12th Dashwood won the game and the round in the first of the 12th inning. Ray Wein walked. and. finally scored on two safe hits and an error. It was a big break in a wonderful game of ball, and unfortunately, it went against the Lions. Better luck next year! The Bantam pitcher, Bob Car- rick, did the twirling for Clin- ton and carried out a fine job. The first game was supposed to have been played here last night, with the return match in Elora Saturday, but the series had to be deferred on account of rain.
