The Guilds of Trinity Church,
Bayfield, and St. John's Church,
Varna, held a very successful
bazaar in Mrs. F. A. Edwards'
store on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Reid, Wind-
sor, are at their cottage on Col-
ina St. Bernard and Kathleen
Reid were also with their par-
ents '- over the weekend.
W. W. Thompson, La Jolla,
Calif., is staying with Mrs. Wil-
liam • Talbot while visiting the
Keys and Dewar families, He
spent Sunday with his cousin,
David Dewar,
Garfield Westlake left on Mon-
day morning to motor to Van-
couver after having visited' his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
M. Westlake and other relatives
for the past month. ; •
Mrs. Ronnie Gillard and Patsy,
St. Thomas, spent a week with
her niece, Mrs. William L. Met-
calf, They returned home on
Friday with Mr. Gillard who was
also here for two' days.
Donald Cameron, Northville,'
Mich,; visited his sisters last
week. Miss Ethel Cameron spent
the week with Miss Dorothy

Mr, and Mrs. William F. Buch-
an, Dunnville, who came on Sun-
day to visit Mrs. N. W. Woods,
were ..r'alled to Durham on Tues-
day morning owing to the death
of Mrs. Buchan's brother-in-law,
Thomas, Ritchie.
Mrs. A. Grey, Mrs. Snyder, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Cameron, De-
troit, spent ` a day recently with
Miss Elizabeth Cameron, Miss
Grace Cameron, Chicago, who
accompanied them, remained to
spend some time with -her sister.
Rev. and Mrs. LaVerne Morgan
and Karen attended the wedding
of Mrs. Morgan's brother, Grant
Mountain, ,Sutton, to Miss Doreen
Heaton, Toronto, • in St. David's
Anglican Church, Toronto, on
Wednesday, July 26 at '7.30 p.m.
Rev. and Mrs. F. H. Paull,
Listowel, are''. at their cottage.
Miss Carrie Dixon, Brantford,
came on Saturday to spend her
vacation With them, J. L. Dixon,
who was also here over the week-
end, left on Sunday night to visit
relatives in Windsor.
. Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Hart and
Ronnie returned to their home
in Toronto on Friday after hav-
ing . spent a few days with Mrs.
Hart's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
George King. Charlie Hart who
spent his vacation with his
grandparents also . returned to
Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Norval Gemein-
hardt and family, Saginaw, Mich.,
spent a. two weeks' vacation in
July with the former's sister and
family, Mrs.. J. Sturgeon, Jr., and
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Knight,
Ronald and Mary, Toronto, were
with Mrs. Mary Gemeinhardt for
a week.
Due to 'a .bad fracture, Miss
Josephine Stirling has her left
wrist in a cast. She was stand-
ing on a lawn seat at her home
picking cherries on Thursday last,
when the seat tipped, and threw
her to the ground, Her many
friends hope she will make a
good recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Butler and
and William Heard, accompanied
by Mrs. James Porter, Goderioh,
motored to Proton Station on
Saturday to spend the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Haw.
On their return they were ac-
companied
scompanied by Donnie Haw who
is visiting this uncle, William.
Heard.

Back After 25 Years
It is 25 years (since. Walter
Stalker, Painsville, Ohio, h a s
visited Bayfield. Accompanied
by hisson-in-law and daughter;
Mr. and Mrs, Murphy and fam-
ily,_he recently visited his niece,
Mrs.' Mary Gemeinhardf. The
old village was so changed that
he hardly knew his way around
to the old haunts,
Chair Dedicated
' Following the third' collect at
matins inn Trinity Church on
Sunday last, Miss Hilda King
went forward to the chancel and
read a petition to the Rector re-
questing that he dedicate a Bis-
hop's chair to the Glory of God
and in loving - memory of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas King and their
daughters, Lillian and Shirley,
given by the King family. The
Rector accepted and dedicated the
oak chair, which was followed by
special prayers. The King's have
been associated with Trinity
Church since pioneer days and
the Bishop's chair ,is a fitting
memorial to this branch of the
family.

the original property and the Jenkins business which
was purchased by Ball -Macaulay from the Falconer
Estate in September 1949.
