reserve unit. He has returned to
London from Gravenhurst and is
studying aero mechanics.

CNR Saturday on a trip to Cali-

Mrs. Frank .Andrews was in
Collingwood last weekend at-
tending the 25th wedding anni-
versary reception of her nephew
and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Byard
J. Hill, and on her return was
accompanied by her niece, Mrs.
Frank Butters (nee Nellie Hill)
and . her sons. Frank, Hugh and
David. an'; Miss Barbara Hill,
all of Collingwood.
Mr. and Mrs. G. Herbert M.
Rumball, Bladworth, Sask., their
son-in-law and. daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Elgin Hodgins and
daughter Joan, north of Bled -
worth, left on a motor trip last
week after visiting with Mr. and
Mrs. A. E. Rumball. It is 38 years
since Mr. Rumball had visited
his old home town, which he
left 48 years ago, and he noticed
many changes.

Holds Good Meeting.
Clinton Baptist Ladies' Md
met, on Tuesday afternoon at the
parsonage with Mrs. Clair Clark
presiding. The meeting opened
with the singing of the hymn,
"Tell me the stories of Jesus,
followed by Mrs. Clerk leading
in prayer.
The secretary -treasurer, Mrs.
Clifford, read her reports and
had the roll call answered. A
very satisfactory report was giv-
en on the sale of work which
had been held in Mr. Butler's
office on July 8.
Pastor Clark gave a very int-
ertsting talk on the Life of Jesus,
and closed the meeting with
prayer.
A dainty lunch was served by
Mrs. Clark.

Mrs, Robert Scott was hostess
to the WMS of Clinton Presby-
terian Church on Tuesday, July
18. After singing a hymn, Mrs.
James Makins . read the 46th
psalm, and the president follow-
ed with prayer.
Speaking of current events,
Mrs. Lane gave a short account
of the life of Evangeline Booth.
Far her efforts in regardto fin-
ances Mrs. Roberton voiced the
appreciation of the members to
Mrs. Makins, treasurer.
"Among the Koreans in Japan"
from the study book was ably re-
viewed by Mrs. Clifton. Be-
cause of a request from Presby-
terial,. Mrs. Clifton will be lit-
erature secretary for the Aux-
iliary.
A Bible t uizz was given and
prayer closed the meeting. Mrs.
Scott, assisted by Miss Potter,

The choir of Wesley -Willis
United Church enjoyed a very
pleasant social evening on Mon-
day, July 24. with a delicious
supper being served by members
of the social committee. The af-
fair which was to have been held
at the home of Miss Margaret
Holland was transferred to the
church on account of the wet
weather.
After the supper hour the choir
leader, A. R. Persan, conducted a
short business period when ad-
ditions were made to borne com-
mittees.
Later, an enjoyable sing -song
took place with music being sup-
plied by the piano, accordian and
guitar, various persons playing
the different instruments.
