The WMSof Goshen United
'Church held its March meeting
at the home of Mrs. C. McBride,
The meeting opened with the
singing of hymn 99, followed by
prayer by the president, Mrs.
William Hayter. The minutes
-tare read and the roll nailed.
There were 13 present.
Mrs. Arnold Keyes was ap-
pointed, by Mrs. Bob Peck and
Mrs. Russel Errat, to assist Mrs.
Bruce Keyes with the Mission
Band. A duet, "Rock of the
Church" was sung by Mrs. Peck
and Mrs. Elmer Hayter, accomp-
allied by Mrs, Erratt. Between
verses of hymn 856, Scripture
readings were given by Mrs.
Arnold Keyes, Mrs. Robinson,
Mrs. Leslie 'Armstrong and Mrs.
William Hayter. Mrs. Elgin Mc-
Khiley `gave a prayer of dedica-
tion. The Study Belk was tak-
en up by Mrs. Robinson and Mrs.
Erratt. hymn, "Abid"e with me"
was sung 'and the 'meeting dosed
with the benediction.
Chicken Supper
A chicken supper was very
much enjoyed by Goshen and
Blake congregations in t h e
church basement ,on March 29.
A short program and ,crokinole.
was played. The winner being
Miss Betty Park.

As from April 1st your employees are in-
sured under provisions of the Unemployment
Insurance Act. This means that contributions
must be paid for them beginning on that date.
If you employ anyone in lumbering and
logging you should: -
1. Register with your National Employ-
ment Office;
2. Obtain insurance books for your
employees;
3. Get instructions about making con-
tributions and about rates.
Your National Employment Office is ready to
assist you with all necessary information.
All sawmills and planing mills come under the
Act on April 1st regardless of how many weeks
they operate.
Farmers and any other persons whose main
occupation is non -insurable need not be insured
if they work in lumbering and logging for 60 days
or less a year and apply for exception.
Call at the nearest National Employment
Office for full information.

held in United Church next Sun-
day at 11 a.m. Preparatory ser-
vices will be held on Friday
evening at 8.30.
Ladies Entertain
The members of Brucefield
IOOF recently entertained their
ladies in their newly decorated
lodge rooms. Progressive euchre
was enjoyed, prizes- going to
Mrs. O. Johnston and Mrs, A.
Johnston for ladies, and Mr. H.
Jenkins and Mr. A. Johnston for
gents. A delicious lunch was

Successful Cantata
The choir, under the direction
of the organist, Mrs. J. R. Mur-
d"ack, presented the cantata,
"Redemption Song" at the morn-
ing service in United. Church last
Sunday. Mrs. William Murdock,
Hamilton, was guest soloist and
also acted es accompanist on the
piano. playing with the organist
for some anthems. The cantata
in two parts depicted the death
and Resurrection.
Solo parts were taken by Mrs.
E. Williams, J. K. Cornish, Bob
Allan and E. Williams. A double
duett was sung by Mrs. Williams,
Miss E. Stackhouse, Mrs. W.
Murdock and Mrs. A. Johnston.
The cantata was very greatly
enjoyed by all who heard it.
