washed the Wingham kids in the
first game of the WOAA Bantam
group playoffs in Wingham Mon-
day evening,
Lions led 5-0 at the end of the
first period, 9••0 at the end of the
second, and finished with a 12-0
Victory.

ence, Seaforth's mostly -imported
Junior "C" hockey team, the
"Little Giants," played an ex-
hibition match with Clinton Colts
in,. Clinton Lions Arena Monday
evening, with the return game
in Seaforth Saturday evening.
Colts led 2-1 at the end of the
first period, 5-3 at the end of the
Second, and added one counter
In the third to skate off the ice
victorious by 6-3.
In the absence of Carter, who
was working, Bill Nediger guard-
ed the twine for Colts, until he
received a shollder injury in the
opening stages of the second
stanza. He was replaced by Art
Woodcock, former Clinton hoc-
keyist and baseballer, who now
is residing', in Seaforth and .play-
ing goal for •Seaforth Internied-
iates in the WOAA series.

TOURNAMENT
Clinton Badminton Clube..,has,
just sent cut invitation's to a
number of badminton clubs in
Western Ontario to participate in
the Club's first Invitation "B"
Tournament :which will be held
on the six fine new ,court in the
Drill Hall at RCAF Station, Clin-
ton, March 10-11, 1950, with the
kind ' permission, of Wing: Com
mender' R. F. Miller, AF.C, cotn-
t rnandirig officer.
Events contested. Will be^'men's
singles. a n d doubles; ladies'
singles and doubles; mixed ,doub-
t les; senior men's doubles... (40'
years end' over); consolation
events in all classes. Appropriate
prizes will be provided for win-
ners and runners-up of main
events, and winners of console-.
tion events.
All entries must be in the
hands of R. S. Atkey, chairman,
Tournament Committee, on or
before Saturday, March 4. Entry
fees are 75 cents for first event,
and 50 cents for each additional
eveid. Fees must accompany
entry forms,
Play will commence Friday,
March 10, at 7 pan., and on Sat..
urday, March 11, at 7 p.m. Spec-
ial features will include "A" ex-
hibition badminton matches and
an informal dance Saturday even-
ing. Non-playing visitors are
welcome to witness the matches
at no charge.
The "tournament has been
authorized by Western Ontario
Badminton Association, and the
draw will be conducted by the
executive of that Association.
Clubs invited to take part in-
clude. Stratford, London, St.
Marys, Exeter, Zurich, Bayfield,
Goderich' "Wingham, 'Kincardine,
Listowel,and Seaforth, as well'es
all personnel of 'Clinton RCAF.
