IN MEMORIAM
WESTON—In loving memory of
our dear son, W/O it. V. (Dick)
Weston, who was killed in action
January second, 1945:
Our thoughts wander as daylight
fades,
To the land of ,long ago;
And memory paints the scenes
of old,
In the gold of the twilight glow.
We seem to see in the soft dim
light,
A face we loved the best;
And think of him when the sun's
last ray,
Goes down in the faroff west.
—Sadly missed by Mom, Dad and
Brothers. I -b

Injured in Accident
The old adage that trouble
never comes singly, struck with
force at the home of Mr. end
Mrs. Clayton Ladd over the
weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ladd
have been under a heavy strain
during the past few weeks due
to the illness and subsequent
death on Sunday, of Mr. Ladd's
mother, Mrs. Joseph Irwin.
Relatives of Mrs. Ladd's, from
Ohio, were expected on Satur-
day. En route to Auburn the
Ohio group were in a motor ac-
cident in Detroit. As a result,
Mrs. Ladd's sister, brother, sister-
in-law and brother-in-law, were
hospitalized. Those injured were
Barton Rowe, head injuries; Mrs.
Rowe, fractured leg; Richard
Bostater, injured knee cap; Mrs.
Bostater, broken pelvis. The com-
munity feels keenly for Mrs.
Ladd in her double trouble.
