Confer Degree At
London Meeting
A meeting sponsored by London
District 27A was well attended on
Saturday evening, October 29 by
some 350 members — represent-
atives front the majority of South
Western Ontario Rebekah Lodges.
Forty-eight degree members of
Clinton Huronic Rebekah Lodge
No. 306, conferred the degree on
12 candidates, two of which were
Mrs. William Ross and Mrs. A,
Donaldson, Clinton. Fifty-eight
members ,attended fp=m the Clin-
ton Rebekah Lodge. Degree Cap-
tain is Mrs. W. M Nediger.

Ladies Club Met
At Mrs. H. Johus
The regular meeting of Tucker -
smith Ladies' Club was held at
the home of Mrs. Howard Johns
on Wednesday afternoon, Novem-
ber 2 with a good attendance,
Mrs. Ernie Crich presided over
the meeting which opened with
the Ode followed by the Lord's
Prayer in unison.
"0 Canada" was.` sung after
which the roll call was answered
by "Ways of Improving our Club".
It was brought to the attention
of the ladies that their club won
fourth prize in the Stratford
Beacon -Herald Cook Book contest.
Final plans were made for the
turkey supper to be held on Thurs-
day evening, November 24 in Lon-
desboro Hall for the members and
their families.
The election of officers was
held. Tickets were sold on a pair
of 'pillow cases and little Margaret
O'Brien drew the wirming ticket,
of Mrs. Alice Lawson. A reading
was given by Mrs. C. Brown and
a contest by Mrs. Alden' Crich.
The song "0 Susanna" was sung
and the meeting closed with the
Homemakers' Prayer. The re-
mainder of the . afternoon was
spent quilting. Lunch was served
by the hostess and group No, 1.

A pretty wedding was solemniz-
ed in the Ontario Street United
Church manse on Saturday after-
noon, November 5, when Marg-
aret. Marie, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Eimer Dale, RR 4, Clinton,
became the bride of William Owen
Flynn, RB, 1, Clinton, . son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Flynn, also of
1111 1, Clinton. Rev. A. Glen Eagle
conducted the ceremony.
The bride was charming in a
ballerina -length white nylon net
over taffeta gown with full skirt
and Chantilly .lace jacket styled
with lily point sleeves. A lace in-
sert extended into the skirt. Her
headdress was a crown studded
with rhinestones and pearls, and
her veli was silk illusion embroid-
ered in white satin. She carried
a bouquet of red roses and white
chrysanthemums.
Miss Irene Howatt, Clinton, as
maid of honour, wore yellow net
over taffeta, styled in ballerina -
length. She wore a shrug jacket
of Chantilly lace and lace inserts
extended into the full skirt. She
wore a matching headdress and
carried a bouquet of yellow and
white 'mums.
Hugh Flynn, RR 1, Londesboro,
was groomsman.
After a reception held at the
home of the bride's parents, the
young couple left on their wed-
ding trip, for which the bride don-
ned a grey wool dress, a pink and
brown checked topcoat and match-
ing accessories. Upon their re-
turn they will live on the groom's
faun near Clinton.
