were paid on due date, that of
Saturday,. October 15. The clerk

in Carmel Presbyterian Church
last Sunday when Rev. Donald
MacDonald, minister of the church,
preached very effectively. Schol-

ing with prayer. Lunch was serv-
ed under the convenership of Mrs,
Myrtle Orr,

The Evening Auxiliary of the
United Church entertained the
Women's Missionary Society with
hostesses Mrs. R. Drysdale and
Mrs. Raye Paterson. The attrac-
tive decorations consisted of pot-
ted plants; streamers and Hal-
lowe'en motifs.
Mrs. S. Rannie; president, chair-
ed the meeting and extended the
welcome. Mrs. D. Kyle ably pre-
sented the devotion entitled "The
Parable of the Rich Man". Mrs,
R. Cook read Scripture passages.
Prayer was offered by Mrs, Kyle,
Mrs. W. Fuss contributed a pleas.
