Plans To Re -build
(By our Bayfield correspondent)
Former employees at the Snow-
den farm offered to clean up the
debris after the disastrous fire
which burned down the big barns.
But as Miss Rose Snowden said:
"The fire cleaned everything up.
There were only a few wires and
irons left."
Miss Snowden is making plans
to rebuild the barn in time to
house the stock for winter. Part
of the stone wall is good and can
be used again.' Friends and neigh-
bours have assured her that' they
will take charge of the work, So
she plans to start after the' har-
vest is completed. It will be a
barn -raising bee; but more modern
methods will be used, no doubt,
than when the original barns were
built. Miss Snowden passed , her
80th birthday on May 31.
Mrs. Russel Heard,' Bronson Line;
and Mr. -and Mrs. Fred Heard,
Lorna and Douglas, Stratford,
were present. Don Haw returned
to spend this week with his uncle
William.

Park were Mr" and Mrs. G. D.
Fry and family, Wailaceburg; Mr.
and Mrs. William Tomlinson and
family, Sarnia; WO and Mrs. L.
Kelsey and four sons, PEI; Rev.
E. S. Wells, wife and family,
Strathroy; Mr. and Mrs. George
Bell, London; Mr. and Mrs. E.
Atkins and family, London; Mr.

Visitors from Mexico
Colin Delgaty, wife and two
children, Mexico, spent Tuesday of
last week with Mr. and Mrs, Colin
Campbell, Bronson Line, Stanley
Township.
Colin Delgaty is a grandson of
Colin Campbell's uncle, James
Delgaty, who left the Bronson Line
over 50 years ago for Gilbert
Plains, Man., and a son of`Earl
Delgaty, Kelowna, B.C. He is a
missionary to the Psotsie Indians
in the interior of Mexico, at pres-
ent on a year's furlough.
The family made the trip in a
station wagon equipped for camp-
ing, but so far on their trip, they
have slept in motels.
On Tuesday evening Mr. Delgaty
showed very interesting pictures
of the work and views in Mexico
to other relatives who gathered at
the Campbell home. Included in
these views were ancient massive
stone walls, the code to the in-
scription on which has been lost.
They left the following morning
for Sarnia, en route'to Three Hills,
Alta., where Mr. Delgaty will
spend part of his furlough in
study. He will also visit his father,
wha is moving from Kelowna, B.C.
to Three Hills.
