Year-end Trip
The pupils of SS b, ,Goderich
Township (Porter's;`H?A Sthool)-
were taken on a bus trip to Exe-
ter and London on Tuesday, July
28. They ` were accompanied by
their teacher, Mrs, Frank,' Yeo.
Several mothers of the pupils also
attended. Places of interest visit-
ed included Exeter ,Canning Fact-
ory, Kellogg's, Springbank, The
London Free Press; St. Paul's
Cathedral; Canada Bread and
Fanshawe Dam. The group ate a
picnic lunch at Springbank at
noon and at Fanshawe Darn in the
evening.

he will attend the •Stampede.
Mrs. Tough left on Saturday for
Brampton, where she will visit
with her son for a few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barr, Patsy
and Jeanne, Burlington, spent the
weekend with Mrs. Barr's parents,
Mr. and Mrs, W. V. Dinnin.
Minister Inducted
Induction services for Rev. Syd-
ney Davison were held in the
Brucefieid United Church last
week. The - Rev. Peter Renner,
Bayfield, addressed the minister,
and Rev, Howard Dickinson, God-
erich, addressed the congregation.
A reception was held after the
service, in the school room of the
church,
Mr.' Davison has been minister
of the Parkhill United Church, and
he has also served in Wingham.
He and his wife are getting settled
in the manse, where they moved
in last Wednesday.
Since the end of the war the

Community Club
The SS 4 Community Club met
at the home of Mrs. Ira Merrill
in
June. The second .vice-presi-
dent, l\ rs. Irvine Tebbutt, was in
charge of the meeting, which was
opened by repeating the creed and
the Lord's Prayer in unison.
The roll call was "Your Birth-
day" and was answered by 11
members present. During the busi-
ness session it was decided to -do-
nate 210 to the Clinton Public
Hospital. The meeting was closed
with the Mizpah benediction
The remainder of the afternoon
was spent in quilting. Lunch was
served. by the hostess, assisted by
Mrs. Fred Lobb and Mrs. M.
Jones.
The July meeting, is to be held
at the school, with a picnic lunch
provided by the members.
