The'' attractive new Baptist Church at Bayfield was officially opened and dedicated in
impressive ceremony recently. The building was crowded with supporters and guests from
London, Mitchell and Wingham Baptist Churches. The brick veneer building houses :a specially
prepared nursery in the tower at the front, apastor's study, and two smaller ,rooms at the back
of the church;, a complete basement with washrooms and oil furnace. Finished in natural wood
about four feet high around the main auditorium, the walls and ceiling are off-white panels of wall-
board,' and behind the ,altarwhichis handmade to match the woodwork, is an archway painted in
sky-blue, leading to an artist's picture of trees, river and waterfall, in which the colours of light
blue and green predominate.

' U CCU RACY"
The watt-hour meter that measures,
the electricity you use is made with
the same precision as a fine watch.
Sealed to withstand dust and
moisture, its sapphire -jewelled
bearings never need oil. Itis designed
to operate efficiently and accurately
at all temperatures and is periodically
checked by Dominion Government
Inspectors.
Electricity is metered in
kilowatt-hours (1,000 watts used for
one hour). 'the small dial, at the
bottom of the meter illustrated
measures 1/10th of a kilowatt-hour.
On. completion of one revolution, the
dial at the right moves one unit to
show one kilowatt-hour. Similarly, the
three other dials indicate, from right
to left, units of ten, one hundred
and one thousand kilowatt-hours—
your meter, at all times maintains
an accurate record of the small
amount of low-cost electricity
required to provide a better way
of living.
