Baptism
The Rev. W. S. Outerbridge con-
ducted the service of Holy Bapt-
ism oh Sunday morning last for
Linda Lorraine, infant daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred John Turn-
er. Mrs, John Turner and Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Turner were god-
parents. The sacrament, took place
at morning prayer between the
first and second lessons.
Mrs. Donald McLeod and baby
daughter, Lea Ann Laulse, came
home from Clinton Public Hospital
on Monday.

A recognition service was plan-
ned for Monday night, but was
postponed for a later date, when
the congregation'will be admitted
into the Fellowship of Evangelical
Baptist Church in Capada.`- Pres-
ent at the° Monday evening service
was Pastor and Mrs. Ganton, Mit-
chell; Pastor Ron Patterson, Wing -
ham, and guest speaker was Pas-
tor J. R; Armstrong, Toronto, the
secretary of the Evangelical Bap-
tist Churches in Canada.
Special music was provided by
organist' Margaret Norris, and
pianist, Mary Jackson. ` Soloist,
Miss Loretta Kirk, 'London, pre-
sented a message in song, and -
Frank Collar, Wingham, lead in
the song service. •
Pastor Ivor Bodenham -is the
church's first pastor; K. K. Christ-
ian, Hensall, is clerk; Ewart L.
Cornish is trustee chairman; R. R.
Cornish is one of the deacons, and
Clifford Talbot is chairman of the
deacon board. Mrs. Clifford Tal-
bot is Sunday School superintend -

The boys' and 'girls' committee,
under the management of Grant
Turner and Alf Scotchmer have
two teams of boys from 12 to 14
years of age playing baseball that
are making a very good showing.
Past president Jack Scotchmer,
in finishing the business for the
year, thanked the various com-
mittees for their loyal supportin
the past term.

Ministerial Picnic
The Seaforth and District Min
isterial Association held a picnic
in Jowett's Grove on Tuesday af-
ternoon. They assembled about
five o'clock and after supper the
minister, wives and children all
joined in a ball game. Present' at

The Willing Workers of St. And-
rew's United Church met at the
home of Mrs. Robert Blair last
Thursday. Mrs. Fred Wallis read
an article, "The Sermon on the
Mount", followed by prayer 'by
Mrs. Jack Scotchmer, Roll call
was answered by 16, and one visit-

A tea committee was appointed
as follows: Mrs. Jack Scotchmer,
Mrs. Reg. Francis, Mrs. Grant
Stirling, Mrs. George Heard, to
meet at Mrs. Scotchmer's on June
29. A poem entitled "Our Child-
ren Enjoy Each Day as It Comes"
was read by Mrs. R. Welsh. The
