JOHN LIVERMORE, Clerk and Returning Officer Gospel Team To Take Part In Local Services A gospel team from the Prairie Bible Institute at Three Hills, s Alta, will be at the Pentecostal Church here on Sunday morning for the regular service. Rev. Jake Leverette is the speaker, and the others are Roy Sickle, a baritone soloist; his wife; who does the piano accompaniment, ' and Ray Kutz, Montana, who is a trumpet soloist, The Prairie Bible Institute is an interdenominational training school for. missionaries. Among the grad- uates are Miss Clara Clarke, Varna, and Eric Creave, also of this county. The gospel team made up part of the program at the evangelistic services held in the new Baptist Church in Bayfield on, Tuesday evening and also are scheduled to appear under the auspices of the Clinton Area Youth for Christ in the Legion Memorial Hall, Kirk Street, on Saturday evening. The meeting was opened by Singing "Abide With Me", followed by the Lord's Pray- er in unison. Twenty-two members answered the roll call and there were six yisitors present, The. committee reported on the presentation of gold pins and hon- orary memberships to Mrs. G. Rapson and Mrs. M. Johnston. The program consisted yof a read- ing by Mrs. Lloyd Stewart; a piano selection by Mrs. Keith Tyndall a joke' contest by Mrs, Wesley ol- den (won by and a word contest by iVirs. Fred Vodden (won by Mrs. R. Lovett). The July meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. Chester Far- quhar. The program'' committee will be Mrs. George Wright, Mrs. Norman Wright, Mrs. M. Crich and Mrs. Earl Blake. Those on the lunch committee are Mrs. Charles Merrill, Mrs. Ivan Hbg- gart, Mrs. Lloyd Stewart and Mrs. Chester Farquhar. Mrs. Clara Wise, grandmother of the bride-to-be, and Mrs. I-Ierb Jenkins, aunt of the bride-to-be, ,poured tea. Miss Joan Thompson displayed wedding gifts and china while Miss Jane Hartley showed linens and the trousseau. Miss.Joan Beninger and Miss, Gladys Habkirk served.
