Joanne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Castle, Clin- ton, linton, and is a graduate of CDCI. In the semi-finals staged in Fri day night, : Western outclassed Queen's ' by a 49-28 score. Of those points, Joanne racked up 29. This led UWO into the finals on Saturday, against the team from Varsity. Again in the finals, Joanne led the UWO attack, 'hooping 12 of the points to help make a win of 30-26. Strong also on the. UWO team is Ardith Crich, who scored six points in Saturday's game. She is arelative of the Crich families living in the. Clinton and Seaforth district. • Zurich Starts. Coach Ken McKenzie of the Clin- ton team ,reports a good game, especially since the teams each had only one practice tegether. David Lamb led the goal -get- ting for the RCAF team, with two goals and one assist. J. Barkley and Wayne Harris totted up the other two goals. Public School. Feature of the evening was. a pair of films shown by pro- jectionist Ken Cervantes, Scout Leader, one on "Survivors of the North" and the other on prevent- ion of fire. Vieing with the films for pop- ularity was homemade candy and popcorn sold during the evening, and a short program composed of songs by the Scouts and Cubs; a piano solo by Christine. G, Winter gave a talk about the World Wide Scouts Jamboree to be held in Niagara Falls this summer, and told of the activities held in connection .wth. it, This Is the first time the Jamboree has been held in Canada.
