SS 4 FARM FORUM
'SS No.' 4 Goderich Township
Farm Forum met. on Monday
night at the home of Mrs. Ira
Merrill. There were 18 in attend-
ance.
The broadcast was entitled
"Round the World in 30 Minutes".
This was an interesting news
broadcast and not a topic for dis-
cussion. The audience agreed that
the people of Western Ontario had
much to be thankful for -in the
year of 1954. According to re-
ports from different countries the
weather and crops of Western On-
tario have been as good and much
better than in many parts'' of the
world. In the Eastern countries
the rice crop of the world was less
than the crop of the previous year
Much of the fall cash crops were
not harvested in Western Ontario
but hay and grain was much bet-
ter than even that of Eastern On-
tario.
Durting the recreational period,
some time was spent on riddles,
jokes, puzzles and other tricks.
The remainder of the recreation
period being used to play "500"
and crokinole. Lunch was served.
This meeting was on the program
as a New Year's party. The next
meeting will be at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lobb,
Huron Central Agricultural
Society
