Badminton Club
For Third Year
To date the Badminton Club
have had 28 players up to their
courts at the town hall at one time
or another. They play every Tues
day and Thursday evenings. The
boys interested in the game, far
outnumber the girls at present.
' On Tuesday evening a xe-or
ganization meeting was held. Mur-
ray Draper, who has acted as
president for the past two seasons,'
consented to continue in office un-
til early in the new year. Gordon I
Sutcliffe was named secretary -
treasurer. Two temporary com
mittees were set up: finance—the
president, secretary, and Clarence
Denomme and Jean Epps; social—
Don Symons, Lorine Denomme
and Johnny Wilson. These corn-
mittees will be added to and oth-
ers formed later in the • season.

and Robbie Hale are. a temporary
rules committee to look after new
members, court rules, etc. At least
one of them will be in attendance
each night of play,

Entertains 50
Guests At Cards
Approximately 50 guests from
Seaforth, Mitchell and Woodham
were entertained by the Clinton
LOBA on Tuesday evening. The
evening was spent playing cards
and a penny sale was enjoyed Lby
everyone during the refreshment
period.
The highlight of the social ev-
ent was the draw for a Kenwood
blanket. Mrs. W. H. Glazier, RR
3, Clinton, held the lucky ticket.
Mr. Davies, Woodham. lodge made
the draw.
Flood Victims Benefit
The local LOBA held a card
party on Thursday, November 1S
in the lodge rooms. The entire
proceeds from the silver collection
were donated to the Ontario Hur-
ricane Flood Relief Fund. A tot-
al of $21.65 was realized. `
