Mayor Dr. E. A. McMaster,
Seaforth, second vice-president of
the company, has said that the
daily output from each machine
will be about 100 tons. One of
the failings of the company which
attempted to re -start the industry
seven years ago he said, was that
it used the old drying method
which took a maximum of labor,
and resulted in high costs.
He predicted a ready market for
Canadian -produced salt, as the
country at present imports large
amounts of the mineral from the
United States.
