Request For
Grant Shelved
A request from the Clinton
Public Hospital for a grant from
the Goderich Township Council at
the last regular meeting of that
body was held over for one month,
The brucellosis committee re-
ported that 395 calves had been
vaccinated on the first test.
Warble fly inspector, A. H. War-
ner, presented his final report on
the year's activities.
Consideration was to be given
by members of Council, the road
superintendent, and all interested
parties concerning the opening of
the road between lots 30 and 31
on Concession 1.
The next meeting of the Coun-
cil will be held on Monday even-
ing, July 5, at 8.30 o'clock.

GODERICH—First of the new
groupof 26 rental houses being

built n the south end of Goderich
was moved onto its foundation
June 1 and remainder of the
homes are expected to be brought
here almost daily, The houses are
being erected under the Dominion -
Provincial Municipal housing
scheme, as were 25 houses built in
the south end of town last year.
They will be leased on a flat rent-
al basis rather than the way the
first 25 were leased, on an income
basis. The houses are built M

brought here by truck -trailers and
moved onto the foundations. Foun-
dations for about eight of the hom-
es have been completed and work-

digging excavations for the re-
