vention were as follows;
Whereas liquor advertising in
newspapers, magazines and bill-
boards tend to educate toward
heavier use of intoxicating liquors,
be it resolved to urge the govern-
ment to ban all such adVertising.
We hereby urge, Premier Frost
and the Liquor Control Board to
give particular attention to the
questions of illicit drinking ' by
minors, ,enforcing the law to the
utmost degree and strengthening
it wherever needful.
Whereas the number of auto-
mobile accidents is increasing, be
it resolved to ask the government
to make compulsory 'the suspen-
sion of drivers' licences ori convic-
tion of driving with ability impair-
ed by consumption of alcoholic
beverages, and remove the clause
which allows refusal of a chemical
test for alcohol by the driver.
We hereby protest against any
future action on the part of the
retail merchants association to
legalize the sale of beer and wines
in grocery stores.
Whereas the observance of the
Lord's Day is increasing in laxity,
•we urge all Christians. to dedicate
themselves to keeping the Sab-
bath holy. And whereas gambling
in all its formis morally wrong,
and contributes to the decadence
of morality in society, we urge all
Christians to refrain from partici-
pation in all forces of gambling
such as bingos, raffles, sweepstak-
es, tickets an cars, etc.
