Mr. and Mrs: W. F. Buchan re-
turned to Dunnville on Monday af-
ternoon after having visited the
former's sister, Mrs. N. W. Woods,
for a couple of days.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pollock,
Ripley, arrived on Tuesday and are
guests at "The Little Inn" for a
few days while' visiting friends and
relatives in the vicinity.
Mrs. David Dewar returned
home on Friday. She was accomp-
anied from Kincardine by Misses
M. Dewar, and K. Urquhart, who
were her guests overnight.
Mr. and Mrs. George Galbraith,
Detroit, were the guests of the for-
mer's nephew, Gordon M. and Mrs.
Galbraith, `Sylvan Acres", Gode-
rich Township, over the weekend:
Mrs. R. Fitzsimons was brought
home from Clinton Public Hospital
on Saturday but is still confined
to bed. Her many friends hope
that she will regain good health
rapidly.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Flagg, accomp-
anied by their two grandchildren,
Brenda and , Brien Cornell, spent
the weekend at their cottage,
"Flagg Haven". Also with them on
Sunday were their son, Ed Flagg,
London, and cousin, George Flagg,

Mrs. E. J. Sturgeon.
, Sgt. R. V. Currie, RCMP, wife'
and twa children, Duncan and
Douglas, called on Mrs. Currie's
aunt, Mrs. N. W. Woods, and also
visited. Mn -and Mrs. R. H. Middle-
ton, Hensall, on Monday en route
from Saskatoon to Ottawa where
he has recently been posted.
Very . outstanding coloured pic-
tures were shown in Bayfield Pub-
lic School .on Wednesday, of last
week by Mr. and Mrs.LeRoy
Poth.
They
featured the
beautiful scen-
ery
of Bayfield as well as interest-
ing places and scenes in the U S A.,
taken last -autumn while 'on a mo-
tor trip. to Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Mrs. Poth explained the
pictures` as they were projected.

WMS Meets
The Women's Missionary Society
of the Bayfield United' Church met
last Thursday evening at the home
of Mrs. Robert Greer with a good
attendance. The study book,
"Where'er the Sun" was read. by
Mrs. Rathwell,-Mrs. J. Stirling and.
Mrs. A. Dunn and had to do with
Protestant missions in Latin Am-
erica. The report of the conference
branch meeting held in London re-
cently was given -by Mrs. Robert
Scotchmer, the delegate from the
north section of Huron Presbyter-
ial.

The monthly meeting of the Wo-
man's Association of. St. Andrew's
Church which was held at the
home of Mrs. Robert Greer 'opened
with -the theme "Prayer in Unison"
followed by a reading given by the
president entitled, "Why." Mrs. L.
Makin gave a short address on
"Stewardship and Service". The
ladies decided to hold the annual
July 1st supper in the basement of
the church. After the business dis-
cussion the meeting. was closed
with a prayer given by Mrs. J.'
Seotchmer followed by the Lord's
Prayer.. -
Trinity Church -Guild Meet
The monthly meeting of Trinity
Church Guild was held at the home
of Mrs. J. M. Stewart on Tuesday
evening with 14 members present.
'The Rector opened the meeting
by leading in the Creed and Lord's
Prayer in unison. The 'president,
Mrs. Lloyd Scotchmer, conducted
