on Sunday afternoon, May 29 when
about 30 friends assembled togeth-
er to honor them on the 25th an-
niversary of their marriage. Those
who were present for the occasion
were the parents of Mrs. Stevens,
Mr. and Mrs. John Nott, Londes-
boro; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robert-
on and three children, Seaforth;
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald
and two children, Blyth; Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Ashton and two
children, Clinton, and others. A
buffett lunch was prepared by the
friends of the bride and groom,
and good wishes were extended
for many more happy years to-
gether. Beautiful gifts of silver-
ware were presented to the happy
couple.
The regular meeting of the
Londeeboro Woman's Association
was held in the church with Mrs.
Joseph Lyon in the chair. The
meeting opened with the hymn "0
Happy Horne." Mrs. Bert Shob-
brook read the scripture and Mrs.
Joseph Lyon read the story con-
nected to it. Mrs. Joseph Lyon
then led in prayer and everyone
repeated the Lord's Prayer.
"Happy the Home, When God is
There" was sung and then the
minutes were read. Cards of
thanks were read from Miss Fern
Watson, Mr. and Mrs. G. Cowan,
Willis Mountain, Mrs, J. Nott and
Mrs. Howard Tait. The, treasurer
read her report and the roll call
was answered with a proverb.
Mrs. Joseph Lyon and Mrs.
Lorne Hunking then gave a report
on the convention held in Walton.
Mrs. Lloyd, Pipe gave a reading
followed by one by Mrs. Watson.
