Stanley pre- siding. The ceremony of " "Drap- ing the Charter" in memory of the late Comrade Phame Morgan, a charter member, was performed by Mrs. Grace Castle. Secretary Mrs, Ruby Haddy read the minutes and called the roll. The treasurer, Mrs, V. Habgood, submitted her financial report. Mrs. Del Jervis, corresponding sec- retary, read letters received. Two recitations were given by Mrs. Ernest Epps. A communication read by Mrs. Grace Lawson, welfare convener, intimated that 'a new veteran at Westminster Hospital had been adopted, owing to the private care which the former adopted veteran was now receiving. In response to an appeal made by Mrs. F. Fingland the auxiliary agreed to operate the bake sale booth at the monster bazaar to be conducted under the auspices of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Hos- pital this fall. Mrs. V. Habgood was appointed to meet with the representatives of other organiza- tions co-operating in the bazaar. The bingo committee reported $45 realized. Tickets will be sold on a. draw for a tailored suit, and a committee consisting of Mrs. Grace Lawson, Mrs. ' A. Haddy, Mrs. B. Cook and the president was appointed. The monthly party will take the form of a box social held in as- sociation with the legion in the Memorial Hall on February 27. Mrs. Laidlaw Wins Grocer's Gift The Clinton Women's Institute held a successful card party on Friday, February 5 in the agri- cultural office board room, when about 75 were in attendance. A local grocer donated a basket of groceries for a draw. This was won by Mrs. Laidlaw. The Insti- tute will be holding another card party on February 19 in the board room.
