thc North American continent which
are a bundred years old are in Can-
ada. The Quebec Chronicle, founded
in 1761, is the oldest daily in the
Dominion now in existenze. The
Montreal Gazette was founded in 1778,
and the Montreal Herald celebrated
its centenary last year. The Acadian
Reorder of Halifax will reach the
century mark next year.
