Elliott, of Goderich, agent of the Children's Aid Society for Huron County, to London on Saturday revealed, an odd state of affairs in regard to the demand for and supply of children for adoption, In Huron there are more hmnes for waifs thanthere are neglected chil- dren. Rum ball of London, who has been seriously ill for some days, is improving rapidly, and it is now expected that he will recover. His many friends in Clinton will be glad to hear that he is improving. TRADE AT HOME MOVEMENT. The merchants of Sarnia are awak ening-to the fabt that they are not getting their share of business from the surrounding country. Too much is going to other trade centres. They have therefore organized a Trade in Sarnia Association. Clinton mer chants might do well to organize along in the same way. OFFICERS ELECTED. The Horticulture Society are going to ask the town for a $25.00 grant and will themselves guarantee to spend it for the purpose of making some eye sores in Clinton into pleasure spots, We are glad to hear of this and hope the Council will do their part in giv Tg a liberal grant to the good work.
