"At the Siete Trap Shooting Tour- nament, held at Warroad last Friday J. W. Jowett of that town won the amateur championship of the State of Minnesota. It was a noteable achievement, as crack shots from all parts of the State were, competitors foe the beautiful silver cup which goes with the championship. Mr. Jowett becomes the permanent own- er of the cup. The contest for the honors was a very speotacular one, and it finally developed into a three -cornered tie, and it was here that Jack showed his ability and nerve by winning out. The result was decidedly popular. The new champion has always been identified with good clean snort not. only as a participant , but with his time and money as well„ and the hon- or could not have fallen on a more deserving sportsman.
