urday from a pleasant visit to

Judge Watts of Crookstown, Minn.,
was the guest of his sister, Mrs:
Boles, last week, having come over
to attend the funeral of his mother,
the late Mrs. Hannah Watts.
Mrs. B. .J Jenkins Dame up from
Toronto last week to attend the.
funeral 'of her grandmother, the
late Mrs. Watts, and has been stay-
ing with friends in town and vicin-
ity.
Misses Elizabeth and Jean Chidley
returned on Saturday from Cleve
land, Muskoka, where they spent
several weeks. The latter had
been a few days with friends at
Go Home Bay.
Miss Pearl 'Foster, who has been
spending a few weeks visiting her
cousin, Miss Mabel Kerr., left the
beginning of the week for Toronto,
where she will sojourn for a time
before returning to Thornbury,
Messrs. Nixon Welsh, Clarence Copp
and W. Doherty were all taking
the military course at London. The
two latter returned last week„ but
Mr. Welsh is spending a short time
at Wallacebutg before he returns.
Mrs. E. G. Roemer of Kansas City,
who has been visiting in town for
some weeks, entertained some of
her lady friends at her mother's
home on Thursday evening last,
prior to her departure for her home
on Saturday.
